ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill Review

Quick Introduction

The ProForm Pro 9000 treadmill is the latest model in the Pro series, which features heavy-duty foldable home treadmills with iFit-integrated touchscreens and powerful motors. Thanks to its sturdy frame and the plethora of attributes that make for a smooth workout experience, we’ve also ranked it as one of the best home treadmills for serious runners.

Let’s get into the details of everything this treadmill has to offer:

ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill Features:
22” Smart HD Touchscreen

The Pro 9000 stuns with a grand, high-definition touchscreen on its console, new for 2021. Programmed to connect to the internet for iFit use, you’ll now find the app’s features like virtual locations even more exciting, owing to the larger display. We also like its pivoting feature, which can be helpful for people of various heights to ensure the best view while they run.

3.6 CHP Motor

The Pro 9000 doesn’t disappoint performance-wise, with its workhorse of a motor built to withstand some serious pounding. At 3.6 CHP, everyone, whether beginner or professional, can use this for high-intensity training, making it a top choice in commercial gyms. We also like how quiet it runs, even when we tested it out at higher speeds. If you’re looking for an even stronger motor on a similar treadmill, you can check out the Pro 5000 – another solid model with a 3.75 CHP motor.

iFit (with Free 1-Year Membership) and Preset Workouts

As expected, the treadmill is iFit-compatible and comes with a free family membership for the first year. iFit is currently our favourite fitness app that deserves a lot of credit for keeping our entire team in shape. There’s so much you can do, such as live professional training that lets world-class coaches control your treadmill’s speed and incline for tailored fitness sessions.

We also love how you can choose scenic, faraway paths on the map to explore during your workout. Meanwhile, your treadmill will keep auto-adjusting its incline to match the actual slope of your chosen terrain. Besides, there are thousands of fitness videos, stat tracking, marathons, and challenges; iFit is the complete package!

There are also preset programs besides iFit that come ready with the treadmill, enabling you to vary your workouts even more.

22 km/h Top Speed and -3–12% Incline

Reaching speeds up to 22 km/h, the Pro 9000 is made for serious runners who can use its powerful motor to the fullest. In case you’re looking to speed up your fitness progress, try the incline feature up to 12% to make the deck slope upwards. This provides a more challenging, leg-toning, fat-blasting experience. Like its sibling models, this one also offers a 3% decline that is helpful if you need to simulate road running.

51 x 152 cm Belt with ReBound Pro™ Cushioning

With a deck slightly bigger than the market standard, the Pro 9000 allows enough leg and elbow space, so even the largest of our team felt at ease on this one. You’ll also like the ReBound Pro™ cushioning technology, designed to reduce impact by up to 28%. This means a softer running surface that enables more prolonged, more comfortable workouts with pain-free ankles, knees, and back after every session. 1.9-inch precision-balanced rollers add to the belt’s durability while reducing noise and minimizing wear and tear.

Easy Folding Feature

The Pro 9000 features the same EasyLift Assist™ technology that you can find on most top-of-the-line folding treadmills. The running deck needs an easy upward push to rest against the console, freeing up a good five feet of your home or gym floor.

Bluetooth Capabilities

You can now listen to iFit audio through your own Bluetooth headphones by pairing them to the Pro 9000. This is a good alternative to the already included dual two-inch speakers.

Another great feature is Bluetooth chest strap compatibility, providing a hands-free heart rate monitoring alternative to the pulse sensors in the treadmill’s handlebars.

Extras

A CoolAire™ fan, tablet holder, and accessory holders add to user convenience.
