ProForm Power 575i Review

The ProForm Power 575i treadmill is currently the middle child of the three Power series folding treadmills available in the UK as of 2021. It’s an upgraded version of the 525i, with certain features improved for a better workout experience, although at a higher price point.

With its satisfactory motor power, average display, and a host of options for comfort, convenience, and entertainment, it can be a cost-effective buy for casual home walking and occasional jogging.

Here’s a breakdown of features of the 575i:

  • 5-inch LCD Display

While we can’t expect ProForm to provide the luxurious iFit-ready console screen of its advanced models for the price of the 575i, we appreciate the straightforward LCD they have integrated for our workout stats. An adjustable tablet holder accompanies this screen so you can have all your entertainment needs right over the console.

  • 2.75 CHP Motor

A welcome upgrade from the 2.6 CHP motor of the 525i is the 2.75 CHP motor of this treadmill. While still not meant for very heavy workout sessions, it can allow higher speeds with lesser fear of the motor burning out. However, if you’re a serious runner with higher body weight, we recommend looking at an option with more than 3.0 CHP motor power.

  • iFit Bluetooth Readiness with Free 1-Year Membership

You’ll need your tablet for the iFit feature since the integrated console screen on the 575i doesn’t support the app. Once you log in (with the free 1-year access), you can sync the app via Bluetooth to the treadmill.

iFit opens up a world of training possibilities, from live personal training with world-class coaches to challenges and marathons. The 16,000+ video workout library is nothing short of impressive, and we were especially in awe of the virtual running feature that takes you places all over the map. The stat tracking feature is also helpful to keep records of your activity, nutrition, and sleep.

  • 20 km/h Max Speed and up to 10% Incline

The max speed on the 575i is a notch higher than the 18 km/h allowed on its former model and should be enough for most people. We also recommend avoiding long runs on this one since it could compromise motor life.

Like the 525i, this treadmill allows up to 10% incline in case you need to increase the intensity of your workout. Higher incline levels speed up calorie burn while adding a strength training component to your cardio exercise.

  • 46 x 152 cm Running Belt

The tread belt on the 575i is 5 inches longer than its previous counterpart, meaning it’s better suited for high speeds and taller folks than the 525i. It also features ProShox cushioning technology which adds a shock-absorbing, padded feel to your run for joint protection.

One thing we suggest you to be wary of is the 1.6-inch rollers, which might run hot too soon and threaten your machine’s durability.

  • Convenient Folding Design

All Power series treadmills provide a folding option to enable compact storage. Push up the running deck and you save precious floor space after getting done with your day’s exercise!

  • Heart Rate Monitoring

Like its brothers, the 575i has EKG handgrips that detect your pulse and show a reading on the console within seconds of holding them. It’s also compatible with BLE chest straps for heart rate monitoring.

  • Other Features

Also worth mentioning are the dual 2-inch speakers, ProShox cushioning, 24 preset workouts, iPod connectivity, and adjustable integrated tablet holder. One thing we wish ProForm could have improved is the roller size, for better durability.

Pros

  • iFit Bluetooth compatible with a free 1-year membership
  • 20 km/h max speed
  • Up to 10% incline
  • 24 preset workouts
  • Convenient folding design
  • 46 x 152 cm spacious tread belt
  • ProShox cushioning
  • EKG handgrips
  • Dual 2-inch speakers
  • Integrated adjustable tablet holder
  • iPod compatibility
  • BLE chest belt compatibility

Cons

  • The 1.6” roller size is the bare minimum required for durability
  • Not meant for heavy use or serious runners
  • Unimpressive 5-inch LCD

Warranty Summary

The Power 575i comes with:

  • Lifetime frame warranty
  • 5-year motor warranty
  • 2-year parts and labour warranty

Bottom Line

The ProForm Power 575i has a decent combination of features for the price, but it still isn’t meant for heavy use due to the average motor power. If you need a walking or jogging treadmill for home use, this is a viable option. If you’re a serious runner, however, we recommend getting a stronger machine.
