ProForm Performance 375i Treadmill

ProForm Performance 375i Review

Last Updated: March 29, 2021

The ProForm Performance series is meant for casual home use, offering light to moderate intensity workouts in compact, foldable pieces of equipment. The ProForm 375i is the oldest model trim within the Performance series treadmill available in the UK. While it lacks the many bells and whistles of modern-day treadmills, its budget-friendly price is the main reason for its popularity today.

Here’s a breakdown of its major specs:

  • 5-inch Backlit Display

While its higher trim siblings (the 600i and 800i) are equipped with full-color touchscreens on their consoles, the 375i isn’t meant to impress gadget freaks. It’s made for practical use, and the backlit display serves the purpose of providing console feedback well enough. If you still need entertainment options or wish to use the iFit Bluetooth feature, you can attach your device to the console’s adjustable tablet holder.

  • 2.0 CHP Motor

One potential problem with this treadmill is the 2.0 CHP motor power – this means it’s primarily suitable for just walking if you want it to last. While the occasional jog probably won’t hurt, we don’t recommend the 375i if you plan on extended running sessions. In fact, the entire Performance series is not suitable for heavy use.

  • 0–16km/h Speed, and 10% Max Incline

The speed limit on this treadmill is good enough for beginners to intermediate users. In case you need to multiply calorie burn, try increasing the incline level. The 375i also offers a 10% maximum incline like its siblings, although it doesn’t have the slight decline option of the 800i.

  • iFit Bluetooth Enabled

The 375i doesn’t have an iFit-ready full-color touchscreen like the other advanced Performance series models. However, it supports iFit use on your tablet via Bluetooth.

For those who don’t know about the app, iFit Coach offers many immersive training options. You can train live under world-class coaches or get access to any of the 16,000+ workout videos in the iFit library. Also enjoyable are the virtual running locations and fitness challenges. You can track your activity, nutrition, and sleep through the app as well.

  • 46 x 127 cm Running Deck

The tread belt on this treadmill is the shortest in the Performance series. Since the 375i is not a running treadmill, the 127 cm belt should suffice for most people. Tall users may find it a bit congested length-wise, so we recommend you look for other options if you’re over 6 ft.

  • Convenient Foldable Design

The SpaceSaver® design of the 375i and its siblings makes it convenient to keep them out of the way when not in use. All they need is an upward push to the running deck to fold up, clearing floor space.

  • Heart Rate Monitoring

Like its latter counterparts, the 375i has built-in EKG handgrips to track your heart rate. It’s also compatible with BLE chest straps for the same purpose.

  • Other Features

The 375i lacks the workout fan present in the more advanced treadmills in its series. It does offer an integrated tablet holder, mp3 connectivity, and a small footprint.

Pros

  • Efficient for walking/jogging
  • iFit Bluetooth compatibility
  • Up to 16 km/h speed
  • Up to 10% incline
  • The running belt suits most people while keeping the footprint small
  • Convenient foldable design
  • Integrated tablet holder
  • EKG handgrips for heart rate monitoring
  • Mp3 connectivity
  • BLE chest strap compatible
  • Budget-friendly option

Cons

  • Outdated 5-inch backlit display
  • Not suitable for heavy use due to 2.0 CHP motor power
  • The tread belt may be a bit short for people over 6 ft
  • iFit Bluetooth requires your own device to function
  • No integrated workout fan

Warranty Summary

The Performance 375i comes with:

  • Lifetime frame warranty
  • 5-year motor warranty
  • 2-year parts and labour warranty

Bottom Line

The ProForm Performance 375i is a beginner’s budget treadmill made for light home use. It has a good combination of features for the price point, but you might want to dish out some more money and get something with a better motor. Advanced modern-day treadmills can enable higher-intensity workouts with more options for entertainment and convenience compared to the 375i.
